Structure and Components
It is usually a long rod-shaped structure. The material can be metal (such as steel, aluminum alloy) or a strong composite material. If it is made of metal, the surface may have an anti-rust coating, such as zinc coating or paint coating, to increase its durability and prevent corrosion in outdoor environments.
There are usually fixtures installed on the fence. These fixtures can be metal clamps or connecting parts welded on the fence frame, which are used to fix the drop rod to the fence structure so that it can move up and down or swing within a certain range.
Working Principle and Function
In terms of working principle, it mainly realizes its function by dropping vertically or obliquely. In normal state, the drop rod is in a raised position, allowing people and vehicles to pass through the entrance and exit of the fence. When it is necessary to restrict access, the drop rod can be lowered to play a blocking role.
Its function is mainly to enhance the safety and controllability of the fence. For example, at the entrance and exit of the farm fence, vehicles and people frequently enter and exit during normal times, and the drop bar is raised to facilitate passage; at night or when there are special events on the farm, the drop bar is lowered to prevent unauthorized vehicles from entering and prevent animals on the farm from running away. At the fences of some temporary construction sites, the drop bar can also be used as a simple and effective traffic control tool to control vehicles and pedestrians to enter and exit according to the specified routes and times.
